I see my mission as two-fold.
- To take people into the Biblical world
- To show them why I took them there
I am convinced that the Bible is the living Word of God, and when energized by the Spirit of God, it has the power to transform lives. However, for us today there are great gaps that often hinder our ability to understand God's awesome Word. These gaps include 2,000 - 3,500 years in time, and an understanding of the culture, the language, the idioms, the customs, and the geography of the Biblical world.
Biblical Encounters exists to bridge these gaps and bring the Bible to life. Understanding Hebraic thought, Semitic customs and languages, the unique geography of the land of Israel, Jewish tradition and history, ancient history, and a Middle Eastern mindset all contribute to a more complete understanding of the Bible.
